Short Biography
Farzana Quddus is a Senior Manager, Grants and Data Repository at BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (BRAC JPGSPH), BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In this role, she leads the identification and communication of relevant research funding calls, coordinates the administrative and financial processes of grant submissions, and liaises with partners, external researchers, and organizations to foster collaboration and resource mobilization. She also manages institutional data archiving and oversees the development of the school’s data repository.
Farzana holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Manitoba (U of M), Winnipeg, Canada. She brings extensive academic and professional experience spanning over two decades across Bangladesh and Canada. She served as an Assistant Professor at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology for ten years, and later worked for more than a decade as a Research Coordinator at the Manitoba Center for Health Policy, U of M’s leading health research hub.
Her expertise includes research project management, coordination of research grant proposals, and conducting both quantitative and qualitative research. She has significant experience in organizing and facilitating interviews and focus groups, data analysis, presentation, and report writing. Farzana also previously worked as a Data Repository Access Coordinator at U of M, where she gained in-depth experience in database and data repository management.
