Short Biography
I am Md. Arfat Uddin, a Data Management Officer at the BRAC James P Grant
School of Public Health, BRAC University, where I have been serving since
January 2019. With over 15 years of experience in research data management, I
previously worked for 12 years (2006–2018) as a Data Management Assistant at
BRAC's Research and Evaluation Division (RED).
My academic background includes an MSS in
Sociology, supplemented by extensive hands-on experience in data management. I
specialize in digital data collection systems, including SurveyCTO, Kobo
Toolbox, and ODK, and my expertise covers the complete data management
lifecycle—from developing and deploying digital collection tools to data
cleaning, quality assurance, and statistical analysis using SPSS and STATA.
Throughout my career, I have contributed to significant research studies
spanning education, health, nutrition, and social issues, I am skilled in
training field research teams, supervising data collection processes, and
ensuring data quality through comprehensive monitoring and validation
procedures.
My commitment to excellence and ability to
meet critical deadlines have made me a valuable asset in supporting
evidence-based research initiatives across various thematic areas in
Bangladesh.
